Mariah Parker’s group “fuses Latin rhythms with influences from South America and India with a dash of straight-up American jazz – an intoxicating blend of East and West,” according to Paul Liberatore of the Marin Independent Journal. Parker, playing piano and santur, will be joined by Grammy-winning woodwind virtuoso Paul McCandless, pioneer of the scalloped fretboard guitar Matthew Montfort, stellar bass and cello player Kash Killion and innovative percussionist Ian Dogole. They will perform original compositions from Mariah’s recent release “Indo Latin Jazz in Concert,” as well as enchanting new pieces for an upcoming recording project.
